Taking the first step can feel daunting, so I offer you a free 15-minute phone call. Alternatively, you can book a 60 minute initial appointment.
Your 15 Minute Discovery Call
I would contact you on the number provided, at the time we'd agreed. During the 15 minute phone call we could explore the reasons that are bringing you to counselling, any questions you have regarding the services offered and appointment availability. It's an opportunity for you to gather the necessary information to make an informed decision about your next steps.
What to Expect
If your appointment was online you would receive a Zoom link and information via email prior to your appointment. If we were meeting in person I would meet you in the waiting room shortly before your appointment. During your first session, we can explore the challenges your facing. It's a chance for us to ask questions, outline our counselling agreement, confidentiality, fees etc. This assessment session helps both of us understand if and how we'll work together. With either a 15 or 60 minute appointment there is no pressure to book in another appointment, we may decide this is not the best service to support you and therefore we could explore other services that could better suit your needs.

Confidentiality
I am committed to maintaining the confidentiality of our discussions. However, there are specific situations where legal or ethical obligations may require me to breach this confidentiality. For instance, if you or others are deemed to be in imminent danger or facing a serious risk of harm, confidentiality may need to be broken in order to ensure safety and appropriate care.
